What qualifications and professional memberships do we hold?
Our executive team hold the following qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping
- Degrees in Accounting (CA)
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
- Diploma in Hotel Management
- Diploma Financial Planning
- Executive Secretarial Diploma and Office Administration
- Doctor in Business.
We are registered BAS agents at the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB)
We have over 30 years experience in Financial Management and accounts.
What insurances do we have?
We have Public Indemnity insurance (No claims)
Who will undertake the data entry and BAS preparation?
In most cases the data entry and BAS preparation will be undertaken by the same team member, however there can be exceptions (sickness etc). All BAS lodgements will be checked by our Accountant before being submitted. Spot checks will be carried out on all work undertaken.
What experience / references do we have?
We can provide client references and will be most willing to do so. However, we do not include references on our website because we take client confidentiality very seriously.
If the work is done in an accounting package, who retains the ownership of the datafile?
You will own the data file and if you require the file to be transferred there might be a slight cost involved.
Where will the work be done?
Most of the bookkeeping work will be conducted of site. In cases where support is required on site this can be arranged.
Who will be responsible for rectification work?
If mistakes are made by Porthos Group we will correct any mistake at no charge no matter how long it takes.
What do we require to process your work?
We require all the information that contribute to a full set of accurate accounts, this can include invoices, sales figures, supplier contacts, inventory details (if required) payslips or time spent and all other information. We will discuss what we need with you and give you a detailed list.
As we would like to reduce the time spent and therefore the cost to you it would help if information provided to us will help us do your accounts quickly and accurately (we will also discuss this with you).
How will Porthos Group communicate with your accountant?
Because of our experience we understand how Accountants work and we have a very open police when interacting with your Accountant. We will form a professional relationship with your Accountant and work together to produce the best possible outcome for you and your business.
How long has Porthos Group been in business and how many clients does it serve?
Porthos Group is a new company (5 years old) but the executive team has over 30 experience in bookkeeping, accounting and office administration.
What is the size of the average client?
There is no average client as each client is unique and we treat them as such. We have experience in dealing with sole traders working for themselves to large companies with turnover in the millions with hundreds of employees.
Do we specialize in working with specific types of businesses or industries?
We have had the opportunity to work with companies in a diverse range of industries and specialties – Professional services, Not for Profit, Hotels, Child Care Centers, Rest Homes and many more.
Are we a full-time business?
Porthos Group is committed to Financial Management and Bookkeeping on a full-time basis
How is filing handled? What does the company present to you upon completion?
If you prefer not to spend time doing your own filing, we can do this for you and scan your documents into your company folder. If you leave us, we will give you this file and charge the time spent on preparing the file to be delivered which is a minimal cost.
